We just started using it this past August and my daughter loves it...
12/05/2004 - by Jo-Ellen from (hometown not specified) We just started using it this past August and my daughter loves it. . . . my daughter had read the whole Narnia series several times before we started this study and her least favorite book was The Horse and His Boy, but because of Further Up and Further In and all of the activities and vocabulary words, I think she understood what was happening better and now it's one of her favorites!

This has been our most enjoyable year so far. We have two books left to go and my fourth-grade son, especially, will be very sad when The Last Battle is over.

12/05/2004 - by Gretchen from (hometown not specified) I just wanted to thank you all for your comments, suggestions, and most of all for the wonderful unit study! We just finished up. My children, ages 12 and 13, learned so much. Our Christian walk was deepened, and they now have a love for C.S. Lewis that will go beyond his Narnia Chronicles. I highly recommend this unit study. Some of our favorite things were the vocabulary words, the crossword puzzles, and the wonderful Bible work. We had some wonderful discussions about Narnia and Christianity. We are always likening some of our life situations to Eustace or Puddleglum, or some other favorite character. It's like we have a wonderful secret between us now. I am so grateful for FUFI! Gretchen

I am glad you published Further Up and Further In. I have really enjoyed reading the books and doing the activities. My favorite activity was planning a meal with some of my friends. The meat pasties were delicious, but I hated drinking the goats’ milk; it was nasty. My least favorite dessert was the Turkish Delight. It didn't taste like I thought it would. In the book C. S. Lewis made it sound tastier. But eww, it was disgusting.
